TikTok Integration Guide

Last Revised: March 25, 2026

Overview

Connecting your TikTok account to StarLovin lets you schedule and publish videos, and use auto-repost to repurpose content from other platforms. You can customize titles, descriptions, privacy settings, and content disclosures for each post.

Connecting Your TikTok Account

  1. Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar and select Channels.
  2. Click New Channel to open the platform selection.
  3. Select TikTok.
  4. You'll be redirected to TikTok's authorization page. Sign in and approve the requested permissions.
  5. Your account will appear in the channels list with an active status.

What You Can Do

Schedule Posts

Create and schedule TikTok videos and photo posts to publish at specific times. When composing a post, TikTok-specific settings include:

  • Title — Add a title with #hashtags and @mentions.
  • Description — Additional details for your video (video posts only).
  • Who can view — Control visibility: Public, Followers, Friends, or Only Me.
  • Allow users to — Enable or disable comments, Duets, and Stitches. Some options may be disabled if they're turned off in your TikTok account settings.
  • Content disclosure — Disclose if the content is promotional or a paid partnership:
    • Your brand — Promotes yourself or your own business. Adds a "Promotional content" label.
    • Branded content — Promotes another brand or third party. Adds a "Paid partnership" label.

After publishing, it may take a few minutes for your content to be processed and visible on your TikTok profile.

Auto-Repost

TikTok can be used as both a source and a destination for auto-repost workflows:

  • As a source — Pull your existing TikTok videos and repost them to other platforms.
  • As a destination — Automatically repost content from Instagram, Facebook, or another TikTok account as videos.

Disconnecting Your TikTok Account

  1. Go to Channels from the avatar menu.
  2. Click Remove next to the TikTok account.
  3. Confirm in the dialog.

Important: Removing a channel deletes all associated data in StarLovin, including scheduled posts and repost history. This cannot be undone. Your TikTok account and its content are not affected.

You can reconnect at any time by adding the channel again.

Permissions

When you connect TikTok, you're asked to allow StarLovin to:

  • View your profile information and account statistics.
  • Read your existing videos.
  • Upload and publish videos on your behalf.

StarLovin only uses these permissions for the features described above. We do not access your direct messages or follower lists.

Troubleshooting

My channel shows as inactive Your TikTok authorization may have expired. Click Refresh next to the channel to re-authorize.

My scheduled post failed to publish Check that your channel is still active and that the content meets TikTok's requirements (e.g., video length, file size). Failed posts show an error message when you hover over the status.

Some interaction settings are grayed out If Duet, Stitch, or Comment options are disabled, they may be turned off at the account level in your TikTok app settings. Update them there first.

Privacy was changed to Public automatically Selecting Branded content disclosure requires your video to be Public. TikTok enforces this policy for paid partnership content.
