Zoom Integration Guide
Last Revised: May 31, 2026
Overview
StarLovin's meeting scheduler can auto-generate Zoom meeting links for bookings. When an invitee books a time slot, StarLovin creates a Zoom meeting and includes the join link in the calendar invite and confirmation emails.
Adding the Zoom Integration
- In StarLovin, go to Settings → Integrations → Conferencing.
- In the Conferencing card, click Connect Zoom.
- You'll be redirected to Zoom's authorization page. Sign in with the Zoom account you want to use for meetings.
- Approve the requested permissions and you'll be redirected back to StarLovin.
- The Conferencing card will show your connected Zoom account with an active status.
Only workspace owners and admins can connect or update conferencing integrations.
Using the Zoom Integration
Creating a Zoom Event Type
- Go to Meetings → Event Types and create or edit an event type.
- Open the Location section.
- Select Zoom as the location.
- Configure the rest of your event type, such as duration, availability, and booking questions, then save.
If Zoom is selected but your Zoom connection is inactive or missing, StarLovin will ask you to reconnect Zoom before the event type can accept Zoom bookings.
What Happens When Someone Books
When an invitee books a time slot on your public booking page:
- A Zoom meeting is automatically created with the correct time and duration.
- The Zoom join link is included in the calendar invite when calendar sync is available.
- Confirmation emails include the booking details and meeting link.
Rescheduling
When a booking is rescheduled, the existing Zoom meeting is updated with the new time. The same join link continues to work.
Cancellation
When a booking is canceled, the Zoom meeting is automatically deleted.
Removing the Zoom Integration
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Conferencing.
- Click Disconnect next to your Zoom account.
- Confirm the disconnection in the dialog that appears.
After disconnecting:
- Existing Zoom bookings are not affected — their Zoom links remain valid.
- New bookings will not generate Zoom links.
- Event types using Zoom as a location are unavailable for booking until you reconnect Zoom.
- You can reconnect at any time by clicking Connect Zoom again.
Permissions Used
StarLovin requests the following Zoom permissions:
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Create meetings | Create a Zoom meeting when an invitee books a time slot |
| Read meetings | Verify a meeting still exists, such as when viewing a booking |
| Update meetings | Update meeting details when a booking is rescheduled |
| Delete meetings | Delete the meeting when a booking is canceled |
| Read user profile | Display your Zoom email on the settings page |
No admin-level access is required. StarLovin only accesses your own Zoom account.
Troubleshooting
My Zoom connection shows as inactive Your Zoom authorization may have expired or been revoked. Use the reconnect link in Settings → Integrations → Conferencing.
Zoom is not available on my event type Make sure your workspace has an active Zoom connection. Only owners and admins can connect or reconnect Zoom.
Existing Zoom links after disconnecting Disconnecting Zoom does not invalidate links for bookings that were already created. It only prevents new Zoom links from being generated.
